Grovelands. Cf. le Grofe t. Hy 7MinAcct . It was known as Cullands Grove in 1795 (Lysons), 1819 (G). It may be that the name is to be associated with the family of Gilbert Culling (1235Ass ), Philip Cullyng (13th AD ii) and Robert Culling (1274Ass ), all mentioned in connection with Edmonton parish.
