INGOLD TOFT (lost), Hyngeltoftes e13HarlCh , hingeltoftes Hy3ib , Ingeltoft (es ), Engeltoftes lHy3 (Ed1) Newh , Engeltoftes l13HarlCh , Ingold Toft 1824 O, Engletoft 1828 Bry, probably 'Ingeld's curtilage(s), messuage(s)', v. toft , the first el. then being the ON  pers.n. Ingialdr , ODan  Ingiald , Ingæld , rather than the rare OE  Ingeld . In this case, Ingold Toft would be a Scand. compound.
