Etymology

'Hūna's hill', v. dūn , with the same OE pers.n. as occurs in Hundon (Sf), where the second el. is denu 'a valley', v. DEPN s.n.Presumably the DB and 1100 RA i forms are erratic in view of the overwhelming evidence of all the later spellings.
