Etymology

Padham's Green is Perhams 1581Ct . This is almost certainly a manorial name deriving from the family of William de Perham (1319SR ), which probably came from Parham (Sf). For the change of r > d cf. paddock , 'a small enclosure,' and Paddock (K), both from OE  pearroc.
