Etymology

'Ceadela 's hangra,' or possibly 'cold spring hangar .' v. ceald , wielle , the place being near the source of a stream. Cf. Channey Grove (Berks)Chaderhangra 1175, Chedelhangre 1185 P, Chadelhengre 1231 Hurley Charters.
