Le Wundershille 1466 in Lymm Ch , PN Ch 5 1 : i , xxv , for which Dodgson suggests derivation from ME  wonders , adj . meaning ' wondrous ' . Wonders occurs twice as a f.n. in this part of Sa , in Badger and Much Wenlock . The meaning of these three Sa names and of the Ch name is uncertain .
