( lost ) , 1676Musg , 1781 PR , Slikersla (c )k 1715, 1718, 1725 ib ; the site was near Bleatarn , v. slakki ' hollow ' ; the first el . is possibly an OE  adj.*slicor ' slippery ' , ' muddy ' , derived from OE  *slīc ( ME  slike ' mud ' ) and related to EFris  slîkerig ' muddy ' ( Koolman s.v . ) .
