( 1865 OS ) ; Mr Bruce Thompson has noted in local quarry accounts of 1754 three types of slate called London , Country , and Neam Tom , and small slates are called toms ; Neaum would seem to be the NCy dial . word neam [ ni : əm ] ' uncle ' .
