Etymology

For further forms and the etymology, v. Whittlesford infra 98.The meeting-place of the hundred cannot be definitely located. It is clearly to be associated with Moutlow mor 1598Pembroke , Muttlow moor 1794 ib. in Whittlesford and probably with Mitlowedene c. 1280, 1339CaiCh in Duxford which was probably on the borders of the two parishes.
