( 6 ″ ) is an earthwork just by the church , and must be the Chercheknabbe of the Canons Ashby cartulary ( 78 d ) . knabbe would seem to be a hitherto unrecorded variant of ME knobbe , perhaps formed under the influence of cnæpp , which has the same sense .
