. , Stackley house 1925 Kelly; it is Stackley Cottage 1835 O (v. cotage), Stackley Lodge 1863 White (v. loge) and islocated at Stacklye 1601Terrier , Stackley 1645, 1647ib et passim to1728ib , Stackly 1708, c.1715ib , v. staca , lēah . Perhaps ' the wood wherestakes are got ' , although staca was sometimes used of ' a boundary post ' and possibly by extension ' a boundary ' . Stackley lies at the northern limits of the parish , hence maybe rather ' the boundary wood ' .
