Both Sutton in theElms and Primethorpe once had their own chapels, presumablydependant on St Mary's Church, as capellam de Sutton 1220 MHW andcapellam de Torp 1220 ib. Note atte Chapell 1332 SR (p) ( v. atte , chapel(e) ) , but to which chapel the name refers is uncertain .
