( 6 ″ ) is so called in TA and is probably identical with Ressheylond 1399, Rasshe (hey )lond (e ), Netherasshehay ,Netharasshefelde , Ouerasshey (efelde )1509MinAcct . ' Land andfield by the ash-enclosure , ' v. æsc , (ge)hæg . The initial r is a remnant of the ME  at ther or of the prefixed Nether - , Over - . Cf. Rashleigh (PN D 372) .
