Etymology

( local , SY 989767 ) , an eroded part of the cliffs near a geological fault , perhaps so called because at ' low to half tide breakers will seem to grunt as they enter and whistle as the previous incompressible sea tries to escape ' ( T.B.A. ) , but cf. pigs and whistles ' fragments ' ( NED s.v. pig sb . sense i e ) .
