Hyde Rd 6″ ) , Hyde 1838TA , probably to be identified with la Hyde ,la Hide 1288Ass and possibly the home of Ralph atte Hyde 1355Wim , Ralph de la Hyde 1399 Cl , ' the hide of land ' , v. hīd , la , atte ; Langehyde in Purbyk 1315 FF ( v. lang 1 ) may belong here , cf. also Green Hyde 1838TA ( v. grēne 1 or grēne 2 , cf. la Grene , atte Grene infra ) , Mayne hyde fd 1838ib ( le Menehyde 1428Midd , v. (ge)mǣne ' held in common ' ) , Hide Furlong 1695DCMDeed ( v. furlang ) , and Parsonage Hyde 18 R.J.S. ( ' The Hyde was from mediaeval times the farm of the priest of Langton ' ) .
