( 2 × ) ; the old church , now in ruins , was taken down in 1848 (Hutch3 1422) ; it is referred to as 'the church of Estoke by Byndon '1403 Pat, ecclesia de Stoke iuxta Bynedon p1483Sheen , Ruin 1811 OS, and gave name to Churchelane 1474Weld 1 andChurch close c. 1628Strode , 1843TA , v. lane , clos(e) . The new church was built 1828 (Kelly) .
