Etymology

is Tuttyshall in Pilton 1533–8 ECP7, 8, Tyttishill or Titeshell 1544 LP, Tyttyshill 1545Deeds Enrolled . The second element is probably ' hill , ' the place being on a hilltop . The first element looks like a pers. name but the forms are too late for discussion .
