( 110–889702 ) , associated with Samuel Johnson ( c. 1691 – 1773 ) , resident buffoon at Gawsworth Hall , author of Hurlothrumbo , or the Supernatural ( 1729 ) , who planned to bury a devoted woman - servant in Maggoty Wood and , being thwarted , had himself buried there , hence his nickname , and the grave , v. Orm2 iii554n , and R . Brown , Gawsworth and its Worthies ( 3rd ed . , 1927 ) .
