Etymology

, Farlinge Moore Jas ISpecCom ( this name occurs also in Swallowfield ( 111 ) , with spellings Farlingmore c. 1300 , Farlyngmor 1348 ) . There is a place called Farley in Swallowfield ( 109 ) , and there was probably another example of this common p.n. in Binfield , represented by Farley Copse , for which there are no early forms . Farlinge Moore in Binfield and Farlingmore in Swallowfield are probably ' marsh connected with Farley ' , from two independent examples of the name Farley , connective - ing- and mōr .
