Dean's Wood
Early-attested site in the Parish of Ombersley
Etymology
In a fine of 1275 and in the Assize Roll of the same year we have a family taking their name from la Dene . Either the wood takes its name from this dene itself, when the s is pseudo- manorial, or it is named from that family. The wood lies at the south end of a small valley.
