Etymology

'Stone-farm,' v. stan , tun . One Erebertus held the manor in 1242 (Fees). The Fits Herbard of FA must have been a member of his family. No explanation of the Barnard addition has been found. To that unexplained addition an unauthorised saint has been prefixed.
