Brimslade Fm is Brumslap t. Ed 1, t. Ed 3For , Bromessclape 14thBradenstoke , Bromslape t. Ed 3For , Brymslade al. Brymslade Parke 1626 WIpm. A compound of OE  brom, 'broom,' and slæp , 'slippery place,' etc. The modern form is corrupt.
