Etymology

'North farm,' v. tun . North with reference to Sutton Veny infra . Geoffrey de Escudemor ' held the manor in 1242, but it had passed to the family of Alesia de Bavent in 1301 (Pat).Adam de Bavent married Alice, only daughter and heiress of Peter de Scudamore (Hoare 77).
