Derriads Fm [olim derits] is Durhirda , Durhierd 1167 P (p), Derierd 1227 Ch, Durierd 1232 (14th) Lacock , 1245 WM xvi, Dereyerd 1514Ct , Duryards 1605 BorRec, Duriard 1647Recov , Derratt feild 1685Add , Derrits 1773 A and D. A compound of OE  deor, 'animal,' and geard , 'enclosure, yard.' Cf. Duryard (PN D 436).
