Etymology

'(At the) high farm,' v. heah , tun . Broad (cf. supra 204), to distinguish from Little Hinton supra 286, though the Hinton in the two names is of different origin. Mathew de Columbariis had a holding here in 1242 (Fees) and John Waas in 1428 (FA).
