Godsell Fm (6″) is Godeshulle 1225Edington . Possibly 'God's hill,' cf. Godshill (Wt), Godeshull c. 1270 Winton, but the personal name God , Godus is recorded from Wiltshire in DB (TRE). Cf. Feilitzen 262 and Godswell infra 148.
