Etymology

Flustey (lost), Flokesti 1184–90, 1190–1220 Cockers, Flukesti 1190– 1215 ib, Flustey 1255 Kend ii, 217, Flokstey 1279Ass 22. 'Flóki's path', v. stīg (stígr); the pers.n. Flóki appears to be found only in OWScand sources (cf. Lind s.n.). The location is not certain, but it may be the same as Fluster Gaps in Heversham (i, 89infra ).
