Etymology

Hullockhowe, Ullockhowe 1619, 1626FF , Hullockhow (e ) 1638, 1678 1690 PR, Hullackhow 1723 ib, Hullock 1651 ib. Possibly a shortened survival of the lost Clattercollackhow (supra ), but the first theme could be a surn. from Ullock (Cu 315) or a p.n. of similar origin (v. ulfr , leikr ).
