'Pīlheard 's farm,' v. ingtun . One or two forms show the alternative gen. sing, form Pilheardes tun . Upper or Pillerton Priors was held by the Abbot of St Evroultin 1086 (DB), Lower or Pillerton Hersey was held by John de Hersy in 1235 (Fees).
