Falkwood (6″) is le Falkewod , Falkewodqate 1411Coventry , Fauke wode c. 1450WaDeed , Fawke Wood c. 1840TA . The first element may be the OE  fealca , 'falcon,' discussed in PN D 446, s. n. Falkadon. Cf. also Faulkboum (PN Ess 287).
