Eastcote is Erescote 1307FF (p), 1324Ass , 1331 Dugd 675, 1369Add , Erscot 1331 Dugd 675, Ernescot , Ermescote 1332 SR (p), Escote 1434 Pat, 1454FF , 1725 B, Escott 1454FF , 1618Recov , Est Cote 1496 KnowleG, Estcourt 1628 PCC. The forms are too late for any certainty. Possibly the name goes back to an OE  Earnwiges cote , 'Earnwig 's cote,' the n being lost as in Easdon (PN D 484).
