Whitenwick Barn (6″) is Wittyngwyke in 1539, Whittingweeke in 1623 (SRS 14, 107, 109) and probably gave name to Simon de Hwytyngwyke (1296 SR). 'Hwita's wic,' with ing used as a connective element.
