Etymology

Bishopric Fm (6″) is le Bisshopriche (1522Ct ), le Bysshoprike (1532 SAC 5, 261). Here were held fairs chartered by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who still holds the patronage of Horsham (Hurst, History of Horsham 29).
