Etymology

Jersey's Fm (1844TA ) is Chertseys in Wonershe 1592, Chertseys al. Jerseys 1720Onslow , and is to be associated with the family of William de Certeseye (1332 SR) who must have come from Chertsey supra 105. For change of initial ch to j cf. Jackmoor (PN D 456).
