Papercourt Fm is Pappeworth 1204 (1321) Dugd viet passim to 1320 Ch, with variant spellings Pappewurth , Pappewrth , Papew (o )rth 1235 FF, 1235Ass , 1392 FF, Papeworth al. Paper Court 1686Onslow , Papercourt al. Paperworth 1706Depositions . 'Pappa 's farm,' v. worþ . Papworth was reduced to Paper (cf. Imber supra 91 and Abinger infra 259), to which the word court was then added.
