Etymology

Croham Fm (6″), Crohamhurst is Craweham 1225Ass , Crauham 1241Ass , 1272–86 Ipm, 1342 FF, 1359 Ipm, Crouham 1282 Ipm, 1304Ass , 1408 Pat, Cromehurst 1605 Endowments, Crome 1765 R. 'Crow ham(m).' The hurst (v. hyrst ) is apparently a late addition. Most of Crohamhurst is in Sanderstead parish.
