Ric 2For , Collingley wood 1607Norden , Coldlingly 1749 B, 1765 R, Colony End 1789 L and C, Collingley 1823 Br. 'Clearing of Cola 's people,' v. ing , leah , or, as it lies on a small stream, we may have Cole as a stream-name (cf. RN 85) and the name be 'clearing of the dwellers by the Cole.'
