Etymology

Mixnams is Mixtenhammes 675 (13th) BCS 34, Mixtenham ib., 889 (13th) BCS 563, t. Hy 3 Chertsey, t. Ed 3For , Myxtenham 1333, 1343, 1467 Chertsey, Mextenham 1455 Chertsey, Mixenham mead 1624Rental , The Mixnames 1634 DKR xxxix. This is a compound of OE  mixten , 'dung,' postulated to explain Muxworthy (PN D 58), and hamm , hence 'well-manured hamm .'
