Etymology

Coal Brook, Colbrok 1387 SHC (1910), Colbrowke 1554 ib: 'cool brook', v. col 2 , brōc . This is a tributary of the R. Tern, partly in St, which forms the N. boundary of Cheswardine near Chipnall Mill.
