Lankridge Copse (6″). Cf. Langrygyate 1298 Eynsh, Longeruggeyate 1300 Wych, Lankeriche 1551–2Survey , Lankridge , Great and Little Lankidge 1608–9Survey , Lankeredge 17thSurvey . 'Long ridge,' v. lang , hrycg . geat , 'gate, gap,' has been added to the first two forms.
