Bixmoor Wood (6″) is (wood called ) Bixenore 1337 Ipm. Ekwall (DEPN) assumes an adjective *byxen from *byxe , 'box-tree,' as the first element of Bexington Do, and this would be an appropriate first element here. Second element ōra , 'slope.'
