Etymology

The Ipm and Ch identifications have been suggested by Mr W. F. Watson, the context referring to this neighbourhood, and the Star Chamber form strengthens this possibility.Probably the later and modern forms are corrupt, helped by metathesis of the r . The name is identical in meaning with Scratta Wood supra 108.
