Etymology

Drinsey Nook is Drengesha 1319 Dugd vi, Drinsey Nook 1775 C.We may compare drens hasa 958 (14th) YCh ii in the bounds of Upton supra 179. The first element is the ON  drengr, 'young man, servant,' as in Ring Haw (PN Nth 205). The second element was either haga , 'enclosure,' or more probably the cognate ON  hagi.
