Henning Lane (6″). Cf. Sutton Heyningges 1335For , Heanings 1599Depositions , the Hayninges 1609LRMB , the Haynings 1650ParlSurv . This is the ME  haining , 'the preserving of grass for cattle, protected grass, any enclosed field or enclosure.' Cf. Heynings (L) and The Haining near Selkirk.
