Etymology

'Ecgmund ('s) tun,' with no sign of genitival s or connective ing . It has the same first element as Edgmond (Sa), DEPN.Development to [g] rather than [dʒ] must be due to Scandinavian influence, perhaps that of OScand  Agemund itself, cf. the DB form.
