Coleready Fm is Collready , Coleready 1618Clayton , Collerdy 1773EnclA , Cold Readie 1826 G. No very early forms have been found, but the name is doubtless a compound of col, 'cool' and riðig , 'stream.' There is a small stream here. For the form of the second element cf. Cropredy (O).
