Storefield Wood. This is probably to be associated with boscus de Storth 1198 P, le Stordh c. 1260PipewellB , the field having been named from a place called Storth (v. storð ), denoting 'brushwood, young plantation.' Cf. also le Storth (1330) in Walton.
