Milton Ham

Early-attested site in the Parish of Milton

Etymology

Milton Ham is so spelt c. 1825 O.S. The site makes it clear that we have here an example of the dialect word ham (from OE  hamm), 'flat low-lying pasture,' 'land near a river.'
