Duncote is Dunecote 1227FF , 1305Ass , Donecote 1253Ass (p), 1256 FineR, 1316 FA, Doncote 1276 BM, Dunnacote 1287Ass (p), Duncote 1302FF . As Duncote is in a hollow by a stream, it cannot have anything to do with dun . It must be 'Dunna 's cottages,' v. cot(e).
