Rising Bridge is Risenbrige c. 1220For , Risenebrige 1247 Seld 13, Rysenebrigge 1272For , la Rysenebrigge c. 1300For , Rysingbridge 1612Depositions . 'Bridge or causeway made of brushwood,' from an unrecorded OE  adjective hrīsen , a derivative of hris . Cf. further Rice Bridge (PN Sx 258).
